Howdy! š
Here are 5 things I wanted to share with you this week.
š„ My Favorite Song Exploder
There are only a few podcast episodes that I have ever gone back and listened to multiple times. This one might be the one Iāve repeated the most. Thereās something about the combination of the subject of the song, the storytelling, and the music itself that makes me want to come back and experience it over and over. Take 20 minutes, put on some headphones, and give it a listen.
š· Mac Screenshots
I use the ctrl+cmd+shift+4 (sometimes also using the spacebar) for almost all of my screenshots. It saves the screenshot to your clipboard instead of dumping a file to your computer somewhere. You can paste straight to a chat app, image editor, or newsletter editor. Check this video out for more Mac screenshot tools you might not know about.
š Navalās Reading List
Iāve been making my way slowly through The Almanack of Naval Ravikant. In fact I believe Iāve already shared some quotes from it in my newsletter in the past. I finally finished it this last week. At the end of the book thereās a list of Navalās recommended reading. Itās so full of books, blogs, and shows that I already love that I spent a whole day looking through the ones I didnāt recognize. Itās a treasure trove of inspiration and I will likely come back to it for more in the future.
š± Glide Apps
How many times have you wished you could make your own apps for your phone? I regularly think of āwoulding it be nice ifā sort of apps that donāt exist. The rise of no-code platforms is making building these apps yourself more possible than ever. I recently made an app to track my migraines using Glide. It uses Google Sheets as a back end and has a simple UI builder to create your app. Youāre not going to build a billion dollar business with it, but you might scratch your own itch like I did.
ā± Do Something
āThe cost of being wrong is less than the cost of doing nothing.ā
